Young Researchers Workshops

Since 2021, SNDE has annually organized a one-day virtual meeting for junior researchers (less than 7 years out of graduate school). Since 2024, the workshop has been joined with the International Institute of Forecasting.

Call for papers 2025

The SNDE and IIF will hold a one-day virtual meeting for junior researchers  in macroeconometrics on Friday December 5, 2025, 2pm-6pm CET. The submission is open to researchers currently in graduate school or who have been out of graduate school for less than seven years. 

To submit a paper, please complete this Google form and follow up by sending the paper to sndeecon@gmail.com. The submission deadline is Friday, November 7, 2025. The selection committee will be composed of Alessia Paccagnini, Ana Beatriz Galvão, Tatevik Sekhposyan, Gergely Gánics and Malte Knueppel. The best paper will receive the SNDE-IIF young researcher award and a prize money of 500 euros.

The Society for Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics invites junior researchers to engage in a full day of expert-led sessions, networking opportunities, and collaborative discussions focused on nonlinear dynamics and econometrics in economics and finance. This virtual workshop supports early-career scholars within seven years of graduate school, fostering growth and innovation in the field.
